I know this maybe slightly late, but I didn’t want to miss another favourites post! I can’t actually believe that it’s time for another monthly favourites post already! October seemed to be over in seconds. I love October, so while I am quite sad that it’s already over for another year, I am so excited that it’s November. Christmas is officially NEXT MONTH! I can hardly contain my excitement! I’m such a festive, Christmas loving person so I am one of those who starts to feel festive on the 1st of November…Anyway, here’s what I have been loving throughout October.
Kylie Cosmetics ‘Exposed’ Lipkit
I, like many others, have quite the Kylie Cosmetics collection. Throughout October, I found myself reaching for the shade ‘Exposed’ a lot. It’s just that perfect browny toned nude (my favourite kind of shade) and I love the formulas of the Kylie Lipsticks. This time of year I put a little bit of lip balm on my lips before applying the lipstick, and have found that it really helps them to go longer before feeling a little bit dry.
I have actually tried this once before and for some reason really didn’t get on well with it all. However, I won a giveaway back in August and it came in the box. I can safely say that I am totally converted! I love the smell, I love the way it looks on my skin and the way it lasts. The shade also matches me really well! I don’t know what went wrong the first time but I am so happy I gave it another go!
I own my own shellac kit, and one of my favourite things to do is shellac my nails. It’s very that you you’ll ever see me without gel polish on my nails. My favourite one that I have been wearing is called ‘Tinted Love’. It’s the perfect autumnal burgundy/red shade and it lasts so well.
On Friday 27th October, I graduated! And I knew that for my graduation day I wanted to do something a little bit extra with my makeup seeing as it was such a big day for me. I bought 3 of the Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eyeshadows a few months ago after seeing all the hype about them. I wore the shade ‘Rose Gold Retro’ for my graduation and I loved it. It complimented everything else so well, and I received endless amounts of compliments from other people! They are so stunning, if you haven’t tried them yet, you must!
One of the things I have never done which I have always wanted to do, is visit a pumpkin patch around the time of Halloween. I live in South West Cornwall and until this year I was never aware of there being any pumpkin patches close to us. After lots of googling, I found a place called Lifton which happens to be about a five minute drive from where I work in Launceston. I told Josh about it and off we went! We had the best day. We went up into the field and picked our pumpkins! The atmosphere was amazing and I am so happy we can tick this off our bucket list. We will definitely be going every year from now on!
Finally, I think my biggest favourite of the whole month is my graduation. As I already mentioned briefly, on Friday 27th October I graduated from the University of St Mark and St John with an Upper Second Class Degree in Journalism. It was definitely one of the best days of my life so far. To have achieved something like that, knowing that I did it all by myself is the best feeling in the world. Wearing the robes and having the ceremony just made me feel so important. It was such an amazing, overwhelming and emotional day. My mum, dad, boyfriend and grandma all came along to celebrate with me and to see how proud they were of me meant more than anything else in the world. I did it!! And I am so proud of myself.
See you next time,
