I love doing tag post and people seem to enjoy reading them too, so for this post I am going to do the British Tag that I’ve seen floating around the internet. I thought it would be quite fun to do so here we go!
- How many cups of tea do you have a day & how many sugars?
On an average day in the office, I would say I have anywhere between 4 and 8 cups in a day. On the weekend when I’m out and about more, a lot less probably about 3 to 5. I definitely drink more tea when I’m working than when I’m not! And 0 sugars for me!
- Favourite part of your roast?
Stuffing!!! 100% But also pigs in blankets when we have a Christmas dinner.
- Favourite dunking biscuit?
I don’t really dunk biscuits all that often, I am much more of a chocolate person but I love just a plain digestive or a chocolate covered hobnob!
- Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
I don’t know if this counts but cream teas! I just LOVE scones with Jam and Cream. I am Cornish so the cream goes on top of the jam for me.
- Favourite word?
I really don’t know if I have a favourite word. I like little pet names like ‘Darling’, ‘Poppet’ and ‘Sweetheart’. I just like the meaning behind them and how people use them. I also think that those 3 words in particular are quite British.
- Cockney rhyme slang?
I know that ‘Apple and Pears’ means Stairs but that’s really about it haha!
- Favourite sweet?
I LOVE a fizzy cola bottle. I also really love the fizzy blue and pink bottles too.
- What would your pub be called?
I’m a Harry Potter fanatic so I love the idea of my pub having a magical name like ‘The Cauldron Inn’ or ‘The Broomstick Inn’ or something along those lines. Not very British but oh well!
- No.1 British person?
Prince Harry! He’s just dreamy isn’t he? I mean he’s a Prince! I am so happy about his engagement to Meghan Markle, they are just the most gorgeous couple. He seems so nice and genuine and down to earth.
- Favourite shop / restaurant?
My favourite shops are the small little boutiques that sell stuff like handmade soaps and candles and memorabilia. I live in Cornwall and everywhere you go in Cornwall there is shops like that. I just think they are so cute and they are my style all over. For food, you can’t really go much more British than Fish and Chips or a Roast so I think the best place to go for British meals is a good old British pub!
- What British song pops into your head?
Either Wannabe by the Spice Girls or Sound of the Underground by Girls Aloud! I don’t know why.
Oooo controversial! I personally love it. Only on toast though.
There’s my version of the British Tag! I’m not going to tag anyone to do it specifically so if you want to do it, feel free! I would love to read your answers. Thank you for reading.
