Revlon Colourstay Foundation Review.

Trying new foundations isn’t something I do all that often. I’m a creature of habit, so when I find one that I like and that works I usually just stick to that one until the end of time.

I had been using the Maybelline Fit Me matte and poreless foundation, but found although it was supposed to be a mattifying foundation, my face would go really oily really quickly and the foundation would start to separate in my t-zone area and it just looked awful. That may have had something to do with the powder I was using, but still I went on the hunt for something new to try, and picked up the Revlon Colourstay foundation in the shade Buff. I had heard really good things about this foundation, and with it being a bit more pricey than your average drugstore foundation (£12.99) I thought it’s worth it if it works, and is better than spending more on a high end foundation.

I love it. I can sometimes struggle with finding a shade that matches my skin tone but I found this one matches so well and for once I’m not the palest shade in the collection! Yay! I also love the finish, it really does do what is says on the bottle. I put it on at 7am in the morning and it stays intact pretty much until I get home from work at 6pm. I apply it usually with a beauty blender and I am so impressed with the finish it gives. It just looks so smooth and makes your skin look flawless. I don’t like a full FULL coverage foundation as I have freckly skin and I do like them to show a little bit. I use the Revolution define and conceal concealer and a loose setting powder by Rimmel on top and the combination is gorgeous. I also use an oil control setting spray when I’m finished with my makeup and I’m good to go.

My overall opinion on this foundation is an extremely positive one. I couldn’t recommend it to my fellow combination/oily skinned girls enough! Have any of you tried this foundation before? What were your thoughts? If you’re interested in trying this foundation and you haven’t before click here.
